FAQs - Witnessing
Question:
I have been saved for two years, and I have a brand new life. I know that part of the Great Commission is that we are to be witnesses. I want to tell people about Jesus, but I just don't feel qualified. I am a very quiet person. Is there some special teaching that would help a shy person like me to become a witness?
Answer:
The great commission is to spread the gospel:
Matthew 28:18-20
Mark 16:15
Luke 24:47
The greatest obstacle is fear:
Of rejection
Of people
Of what might go wrong
Of offending someone
We can overcome fear:
2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 4:18
Bind and rebuke fear. Be prepared - 1 Peter 3:15
Practice your testimony.
Keep it simple
Tell them how they can be saved
Pray
Don't be discouraged by rejection - Matthew 10:40
Qualifications:
We are called to be witnesses.
