FAQs - Healing

Question:
On a TV program I watch, I saw people who needed healing getting prayed for. I am scheduled to have surgery and the doctors cannot guarantee that it will save my life. My church teaches that miracles were only for Bible times. I know I need a miracle. Please tell me why you believe in prayer for the sick in this day and age.

Answer:
Jesus commands us to do it - Matthew 10:7-8, Mark 16:15-20
We have power of attorney - John 14:12-13
God provided for it
Isaiah 53:5
2 Chronicles 7:14
Psalm 147:3
Psalm 103:3
